National Accounting Carnival
In collaboration with the National Institute of Education, the Humanities Department conducted the Accounting Carnival on the afternoon of Wednesday, 29 January 2014 to:
- Provide an avenue for graduating POA students to revise the POA content in a fun-filled and competitive environment.
- Allow students the chance to hone leadership and management skills as they get trained to be game masters as well as play host to participating schools.
- Forge closer ties within the POA community
The event was graced by Mrs Poon Wai Chin, Assistant Director of Humanities Branch, CPDD who started the Carnival with a “bang”. 150 students from 15 schools participated with excitement and enthusiasm. They raced against time to complete all eight stations in two hours. Besides the thrills of the various game stations, students also enjoyed refreshments and went home with goodie bags! Our SGS teams also walked away with two prizes; consolation and second runner-up!
It was truly an enriching experience for both students and teachers of the Humanities Department who contributed their time and effort to make this event a success.
